Fundraiser for the Virginia Haiti Collaborative
Bluebird Beginnings Photography (Meneta Deaton) is sponsoring a fundraiser for the Virginia Haiti Collaborative November 23-December 22. During this time, 20% of all sales will benefit the VHC. Any prints or cards ordered through the brochure or the website will benefit the VHC.
Orders received after December 8 are not guaranteed arrival by Christmas (check with Meneta on what might be "in stock" and ready by Christmas if ordering after the 8th).
Brochures will be available at the back of the church (Emmanuel Staunton). Or you can purchase here on the website. Find images you would like to order, click the image to get the number or name, then go to the Products and Services page to order.
Also, you can purchase prints and cards (or place an order) on November 30, Small Business Saturday, in downtown Staunton at Virtual Sisters, 16 West Beverley Street, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Meneta will have framed prints, cards, etc. available to purchase, and benefit the VHC. Please come out for Small Business Saturday and drop by Virtual Sisters to see Meneta on November 30th!
Meneta will also make available "gift certificates" that can be purchased. These certificates are for donations in honor of a loved one. You may make a donation of any size to the VHC and fill out the gift certificate. Checks for gift certificates should be made out to Emmanuel Episcopal Church and noted for the Virginia Haiti Collaborative.
What is the Virginia Haiti Collaborative? The VHC is a collection of churches (including Emmanuel Staunton), schools, and individuals partnering with St. Marc's Primary School in Cerca-La-Source to improve education in Haiti. VHC provides teacher salaries and monies for the food program at the school. VHC has also provided computers that have become part of a learning center, which provides training for community members and serves as a source of income for the school.
